Message from the Founder
I started this journey many years ago after seeing stray cats eating out of dumpsters behind a local Taco Bell. It broke my heart. From that moment on, I went back every day to feed them. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I couldn’t turn away.
As I continued, I learned everything I could about helping feral cats—how they breed, how they survive, and just how deeply they suffer. What I witnessed was heartbreaking, and what hurt even more was how few people seemed to care. I felt alone, frustrated, and overwhelmed. I reached out to local rescue groups, but no one offered support. I was out there by myself—but I kept going.
Eventually, I realized that to make a real impact, I had to step up and start something of my own. That’s how Loving Paws was born. Becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit opened the door to greater opportunities to help animals who are forgotten, abandoned, and left to survive on their own.
My heart is to join forces with like-minded people who share the same passion—to rescue, to protect, and to speak up for the voiceless. I also want to be a support system for individual rescuers who care for colonies with little to no help. Many of them, like I once did, pay everything out of their own pockets and struggle each month just to feed the animals depending on them.
Every day, animals suffer simply because they can’t speak up for themselves. But we can. I can’t do this alone. I need your support—whether it’s through volunteering, fostering, or making a contribution. Your gift is so appreciated and helps me do more for a homeless animal in need.
